The line "I said busy. The word that’s supposed to explain everything and somehow explains nothing at all." hit me like a ton of bricks, A.

Thinking that its not an excuse not to meet up with someone else had my brain on overdrive. The fleeting thoughts you may have missed while editing, the pressure of being considered a bad friend if you do not show up, not to mention all the other million things on the list that have to get done.

Then this --> "I want to be properly here for this. And right now, I can’t be. Not a no. A later." Flipping that switch and the explanation to be fully "in the moment" sings to my heart and points out feelings that have been hard for me to explain too! (You're articles are always like magic, putting words to emotions and feelings I could never quite understand. Your Ta---Da writing gifts are always 🐦‍🔥.)

You know I am a weird egg. A phrase my grandmother used to say. 😋It's just, I never put myself first. I can be counted on to do what I say. (unless its buddy reading a vampire book. 😅) Jokes aside, when no has to pop up more often than not, I feel bad for myself and the others that need me. It's fleeting, so I can get back to work, but I've sort of learned how to not let it get to me. Sad, I know.

The last bit of your article made my eyes go 🤩. I will start incorporating the line, Not today. But ask me again. A perfect way to keep the moment alive until later. I love this!

Another amazing write up, A! One I'll be thinking about all weekend.
